Alejandro Páramo and Pilar Arroyo, due to their own origins and background, had never quite understood that their sons and daughters, after completing their education at various universities around the country, were not going to follow in their footsteps, tending and renovating the vineyards inherited from their forefathers.

ALEJANDRO, head of the family, and his dear PILAR, his faithful companion in life and in the work of the vineyards, brought  up seven children, TERESA, BLANCA, DULCE, ALEJANDRO, LINAREJOS, FERNANDO and MYRIAM.

Today, this man, distinctive with his snowy-white hair and pleasant Castilian manners, has had his dreams come true.  Proud of his background, he was linked right from the start as a champion and founder of the DENOMINACION DE ORIGEN RIBERA DEL DUERO.  Now, he has achieved the reality of creating and nurturing his own wines from the grapes that he has been growing traditionally and with the utmost care for all these years.

A new stage in the PARAMO ARROYO family history is set to begin with the building of this WINERY.

We have 35 hectares of vineyards of differing ages, from one to forty years old, distributed among locations in Pedrosa de Duero and Roa.
The management of the vineyards is the responsibility of two young vine-growers, ALEJANDRO and FERNANDO, who take grape cultivation seriously.  They look after the vineyards carefully, from winter pruning until harvest-time.

LINA is the oenologist.  She marks the full circle of our very own VINOS DE AUTOR or SPECIALLY CREATED WINES, blended for vitality and harmony.
