After maintaining a tradition and connection with wine for many years, in the year 2000 we began to produce our own wine in the new winery – a family business that owns 35 hectares of vineyards right in the heart of  the Ribera del Duero, within the municipal boundaries of Pedrosa de Duero and Roa, in the province of Burgos.

Our winery has modern installations and is surrounded by vineyards,   distributed among the districts of El Cerro, Valtarreña and Valtostado.

Our wines, VIÑA EREMOS, EREMUS and PARAMO ARROYO, are only produced with grapes from our vineyards, carefully tended from the  winter pruning (keeping the number of leaf buds under control so that production does not exceed 5,000 kilos per hectare) right through to collecting the grapes in crates and ensuring that our precious harvest incurs the least possible damage and an adequate supply of perfect fruit.

The management of the vineyards is the responsibility of two young vine-growers, ALEJANDRO and FERNANDO, who take grape cultivation seriously.  They look after the vineyards carefully, from winter pruning until harvest-time.

LINA is the oenologist.  She marks the full circle of our very own VINOS DE AUTOR or SPECIALLY CREATED WINES, blended for vitality and harmony.

Using ORGANIC FARMING methods and the red grape variety, Tinta del Pais, the winery produces young ‘Joven’ wines and ‘Crianzas’ aged in American and French oak, under the brand name VIÑA EREMOS.  Our Reserva wines are bottled with the EREMUS label.
